About Us

"There is no such thing as too much horsepower." - Steve Muller

In 1932, his dad Karl Muller started Muller Machine. He made precision parts for the UC Davis, and Travis Air Force Base. Steve Muller took over the shop in 1970. He is a third-generation machine shop owner and engine builder who grew up in the shop building his own hot rods as a youth. Steve was an engine-building innovator in the 70s, building 'strokers' before there were any kits available.

An early pioneer of nitrous, Steve's street sleepers were usually the fastest cars in Northern California. Blowers and turbos followed, as well as antique engines and flatheads. With his wife Rena, they closed shop in North California to settle in La Grande on the ranch and raise their children. Family, God & cars are the foundation of the Muller family. With their two children, they built their dream shop here, much to the benefit of the folks in Eastern Oregon.
